I had a fantastic stay in a recently remodeled Budget Double Room that was clean. The comfortable beds made for a restful night, and I loved how close the hotel was to the water, offering very nice views. The decor featured beautiful wood accents, adding a warm touch to the cozy atmosphere.

Bells Melody Motel had a few redeeming qualities that made my stay somewhat enjoyable. The location right on Lake Huron allowed for stunning views, especially during sunset. However, it was outdated, with furniture reminiscent of the 1950s. The shower barely worked, with hardly any water pressure. There was a lack of amenities, such as no coffee maker and only one outlet in the entire room, making it challenging to charge devices. The air conditioning unit was old and not very effective. I also had issues with a broken TV that took way too long to be fixed. For what I paid, I expected a bit more in terms of comfort and modern convenience. If you're looking for a budget option near the lake with decent cleanliness, this could work. But don't expect much else.
